Jood Al-Ataa Project
Together, We Support Orphans
Humanitarian Context
Amid the current humanitarian conditions in Turkey, where millions of refugees and displaced persons reside, the issue of orphaned children who have lost their family support stands out. This relief, social, educational, and health project aims to provide comprehensive support to affected families, particularly those who have lost their breadwinner, to ensure a dignified life and a bright future for their children.
Why the "Jood Al-Ataa Project"?
The challenges facing refugee families, especially those with orphans, are escalating, leading to serious social and economic problems.
Objectives of the Jood Al-Ataa Project: "Jood Al-Ataa" seeks to address these issues at their roots:
-
School Dropout: Many male children are forced to leave school and work to support their families, depriving them of their right to education and a better future.
-
Housing Crisis and Accumulated Bills: Many families struggle to secure decent housing or pay basic utility bills, affecting their stability and dignity.
Our Noble Goals: The "Jood Al-Ataa" project aims to achieve a set of strategic objectives, including:
-
Education Support: Ensuring orphans continue their educational journey and providing all necessary school supplies.
-
Providing a Dignified Life: Supporting families in securing housing, food, clothing, and healthcare, while alleviating their financial burdens.
-
Social Integration: Helping families integrate into Turkish society while preserving their dignity, or returning to their home countries with dignity if conditions allow.
How We Work
"Jood Al-Ataa" adopts a transparent and sustainable methodology to ensure support reaches those in need and achieves maximum impact:
-
Identifying Beneficiaries: Creating an accurate database of orphans and their families living in Istanbul, with comprehensive social research to assess needs.
-
Monthly Support: Providing monthly financial assistance to each orphan to meet their basic needs.
-
Field Visits: Conducting periodic visits to families every three months to monitor the orphans’ conditions, assess compliance with agreed terms, and address urgent needs.
-
Aid Distribution: Distributing winter clothing and school supplies at the start of the school year, as well as food baskets during seasons and holidays.
